## About this congregation
Calvary Evangelical Missionary Church is on 10th Street West, out towards the western edge of the city. The congregation was established on 18 April 1899, and its roots are in the Mennonite Brethren in Christ, who had a meeting at Mennonite corners south-west of the town and opened the Beulah Mission in Owen Sound in 1899, holding services in a hall above the newspaper office.

One service is held each Sunday at half past ten, with a children's programme running beside it in the fellowship hall. The service opens with contemporary songs and usually an older hymn, then prayer and a message.

The Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada was formed in 1993 by the union of the United Missionary Church and the Missionary Church of Canada.
