## What they believe
St. George's is a parish of the Anglican Diocese of Huron. Anglicans confess the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds, baptize infants, and order their worship by the Book of Common Prayer and the Book of Alternative Services, both of which are used here. The parish describes itself as welcoming 'spiritual seekers, children, couples, families, singles, doubters, and the devout' and as 'an inclusive family'.

## What to expect
The eight o'clock service is a said Eucharist from the Book of Common Prayer; the half past ten service uses the Book of Alternative Services with music, and children go out to Sunday school during the school year. The parish runs a Food Share programme for the neighbourhood.

## About this congregation
St. George's is the Anglican parish of Owen Sound and the largest of the four churches at Salvation Corners, on the north-east corner of 10th Street and 4th Avenue East. The present church opened in 1881, its tower carrying a steeple of about forty-three metres, and was built on the model of an English parish church; the Anglican congregation in the town goes back to 1849, when a missionary parish was set up covering what are now Grey and Bruce counties.

The parish belongs to the Diocese of Huron and to its Deanery of the Saugeens. Three Eucharists are celebrated each week: a said service from the Book of Common Prayer at eight on Sunday morning, a sung service from the Book of Alternative Services at half past ten, and a midweek celebration on Wednesday morning.
