Crossroads Victory Church
Crossroads Victory Church belongs to Victory Churches of Canada. It says it exists to help people know the Father and walk in the wholeness he purchased for them, and that God will provide for any need, heal any sickness and free a person from any torment or addiction. Like other Pentecostal and charismatic churches it holds that the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament are for the church today.
Crossroads Victory Church is on 19th Street West, past the western edge of the city. Like the Canadian Reformed congregation east of town, the building is just outside the city limits, in Georgian Bluffs, and the church says so itself: it gives its address as Georgian Bluffs and warns that satellite navigation may not find it under Owen Sound.
One service is held each Sunday at ten, with a children’s programme and a nursery running alongside it. The congregation also keeps an unusually full week of prayer: Sunday morning before the service, Sunday evening, and Thursday morning, with men’s and women’s groups midweek.
The congregation belongs to Victory Churches of Canada, and its own account of itself is charismatic: it says God will provide for any need, heal any sickness and free a person from any torment or addiction.
